Michael Hamilton Morgan, President


Forrmer diplomat Michael Morgan is the author of Lost History: the Enduring Legacy of Muslim Scientists, Thinkers and Artists (www.losthistoryonline.com). Morgan has appeared on Al Jazeera, BBC, CSpan and other outlets, and has spoken at the World Economic Forum, the British Parliament and the U.S. Treasury Department. In 2009 he received Egypt’s National Medal for Arts & Sciences from President Hosni Mubarak. As a career diplomat from 1980-87, Morgan was Deputy Staff Director of the bipartisan White House commission overseeing the Fulbright Scholarships and international exchange programs. Morgan was an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia.



Christopher Carmelo Vincent Alba, Vice President


Architect and builder Christopher has managed large budgets and professional staffs and brought groups with disparate agendas into consensus in both governmental and private sector environments. Alba served as State Architect for the State of New Mexico from 1984-89. In addition to the design and construction of elementary and secondary schools and other facilities, Mr. Alba has provided private and public sector clients with intervention counseling, conflict resolution, strategic planning, and consensus building. Mr. Alba has degrees from the University of Virginia and the University of New Mexico.



Jon Schneider, Treasurer


Jon Schneider served as Vice President/Energy Risk Management for GoldmanSachs in Singapore and as Managing Director of the Astra Oil Group in Zug, Switzerland, with responsibility for operations in Moscow, Capetown and Bahrain. He holds a master's degree in International Trade and US Foreign Policy from Johns Hopkins, and a B.A. in Russian studies and political science from the University of North Carolina.



Muhammad Eliot Cohen, Member


Muhammad Eliot Cohen is a former US Foreign Service Officer, a graduate of Yale and Stanford, author, columnist, and publishing innovator. Cohen has worked in public relations and journalism for more than 20 years, the last 15 in international news (for CNN, Reuters, CNBC and others), trying to build bridges between countries, cultures and creeds. He is also a faculty member in Communications at the University of Phoenix and previously taught at the USDA Graduate School in Washington, DC. Cohen has lived in Asia since 1995 and now divides his time between Hong Kong and Indonesia.



Hamilton Loeb, Member


Hamilton Loeb is a partner in the global lawfirm Paul Hastings, based in Washington D.C. He served as managing partner of his firm's Washington office and as co-head of its global Litigation Department. He has been recognized by his peers as among “The Best Lawyers in America” since 2004, is listed as one of “The Washington, D.C. Best Lawyers,” is listed among the “World’s Leading International Trade Lawyers” by Legal Media, and is recognized by Chambers as a leader in the field of international trade. He was appointed by the U.S. Trade Representative to the roster of panelists to resolve disputes under the U.S.-Canada Free Trade Agreement, and currently serves as outside counsel to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates. A long-term resident of Washington, he was founder and president of Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts and a board member of the Washington Chamber Symphony. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Harvard Law School.



Elizabeth Trickey, Member


Ms. Trickey is currently an attorney in private practice. Her clients have ranged from international corporations and organizations like General Motors, Trinova Corporation, Magna International, Cogentrix, Inc. and the Automobile Association of America, to charities like the Michigan Women's Foundation, to individuals like Garrett Thornburg, CEO and founder of the Thornburg Companies. She received both her A.B. with Distinction and her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
